Howdy folks, I just wanted to say a quick hello to the other english speaking folks out there and to let you all know that yes, I am new on Zion. For those who wonder, I'm pretty much a complete noob at L2, not because I've never played, but because it's grown and changed so much from the days I used to play. I started in the retail's beta, climbing up to level 29 when it launched and then I played a bit more until I had to stop just before Chapter 1, due to financial reasons. So when I say I'm a noob at this game, I mean it, because I never got to experience subclasses; raid bosses; noblesse; heroes and what not.
Right now, I play my Hawkeye Caitlyn pretty much all the time and about an hour a day, 2 at most. She's in the higher 60's now, highest I've ever gone (even during my short stint on another private server). So, basically, I'm looking for a clan that doesn't mind teaching me the ropes of this "new" L2. For examples... teaching me all the various acronyms, such as; AIO - I have no f'ing idea what that means. What does AIO eat during winter? Does it hibernate? You know, that kind of stuff. Lol! Only thing you won't have to teach me, is how to die - I've mastered it easily and so perfectly, it looks effortless every time I do. ROFL!
Alright, so this is it in a nutshell.

Hi and welcome!
I'm quite new to the server myself, started like two weeks ago, and it took me some time to get what AIO meant too. :)
On this server you can donate to get quite a lot of things, one being a character able to cast buffs of all buff classes. Simply refered to as All In One buffers. At least I think that's it. :)
Dying effortlessly is not very hard at all I must say, I did it too A LOT untill I started using AOI buffs. With AIO buffs it's a bit easier to fight back.
I'm not in a clan myself so can't help you there but hopefully the AIO explenation can help. :)

Actually, I live in Quebec and I'm French Canadian. I say; Howdy, Hi, Wazzup or anything else that is synonymous of hello. I just don't say; Eh?, Eh! or Eh a lot though. :p
As for Texans... yeah, they say "Howdy" a lot. I've got a few friends that live or come from Texas and it's always a hoot to hear 'em talk on Ventrilo or Teamspeak. Although, I prefer the Irish accent... it's dead sexy.

Unfortunately us English players don't all see eye to eye and we're all too busy arguing amongst each other...I've always wondered why....? Are we that bigheaded that we don't want to help each other out in a server where we are in fact a minority?
Look at the BR players, they help each other out all the time and even in some cases they help people on their enemies side (which I always questioned why...), and this caused a lot of issues with BR players in English based alliances.
Anyways would be kinda neat to see us English speaking players work together to kind of "supress" the BR players and get a higher position on the server....then we can focus on killing each other.
lol I think I had too much rum and coke ><

Or maybe you're just too optimistic Dez. However, you're right... I've seen it on the other private server I played on, as well as on the Official ones back in the days. Most other people from other countries, will go out and stick together and what do we, North Americans or English-speaking players do? We bicker and fight until we're unable to even say "hi" without a fight ensuing. It's sad, but such is life...
As much as people may complain that Bresilians ( in this case, without me wanting to single them out ) may take this game so seriously that they play A LOT, maybe way too much, but when you see them go, I always see them helping each other out with various quests or Raid monsters and whatnot. Sure, they also have the occasional skirmishes between themselves, but generally speaking, from my limited Lineage 2 experience, I can say for sure, they surely stick together more than we do.
It's also like this in other MMO's I've played on private servers, whether it's Ragnarok or WoW, they stick together and sure make us look like children at times, with our constant bickering. Oh well, I still haven't decided where I'll go... I'm still crawling up to level 75 to start my first subclass. I'm currently an Hawkeye and I'm unsure as to which path I take next. I might go with a caster class, because I despise tanks, always have. I already die easily, why make it even more so, by getting all the aggro on me... I have way to much fun when I do that and forget that I'm not on GM Godmode. Lol! :D :p :o
Isn't that right Sith? I think i ran into your char the other day :P

I totally agree with you honey
Just like XMS have an ally for all BR people it'd be nice to have a fully english speaking alliance. (you donthave to be american, british or whatever just speak english, hell even brazillians can join if they can speak it )
But i do agree theres always bickering......whos knows maybe it'll change and a new era of ally will form?

When I came here 300 alliance was all English, in fact that evening's siege is when BR clan leaders were invited to the alliance. Don't get me wrong they were awesome, they brought "flavour" to the alliance and helped us out a lot but there were also cons to the movement...
A lot of them had friends in the alliances that we were fighting and would ask us in ally chat to not kill certain names with an enemy's tag attached to it. We'd tell them it was a war tag and they were opened to get killed. After a while we started telling people that if your friend is tagged in a war we're in they will die in PVP or get PKed (you can only have SO many wars lol..)
Anyways this created issues because we'd be in the middle of PVP and one of their friends would not kill THEM but they would attack us and as soon as we killed their friends they'd get mad at us and start to question, it just got messy after a while. We lost people that way which is unfortunate and we ended up kicking people from ally because they were giving clan invites to people we didn't like very much that used to fight against us.
I'm not being too optimistic here, I'm just saying that our bickering will always be our downfall, a lot of us English speaking players have the advantage over the majority of the server a lot of us come from retail servers (some the same as others >.>) and with our game experience we can prove much more worthy against the rest. Just we're too busy fighting and bickering and whatever to do this.
If anyone's played a retail PTS you'll see that people from the same server generally stick together, even make alliances/clans just for their server. On the Interlude PTS our server had everyone in one alliance and we even patched up a lot of busted friendships and such because of this. We had enemies with enemies and we all worked together and PVPed against the other servers, it's a truely different experience lol.
Anyways I was a bit tipsy yesterday and was posting all over diff places and I didn't even remember what I had typed, I had to re-read it and decipher it for myself :s

Posting while feeling a little tipsy-turvy, is always fun... until you go back and re-read the nonsense you've typed. Lol!
Been there, done that. Anyways, I'll keep my options opened as far as clans go - if I get to interact more with people... or actually, simply PLAY more than I actually do now, I might get a better idea of where to go.
Until then... let's hope the drama, albeit fun at times, doesn't makes things sour for anyone here.
